The conference will be held in Danubius Hotel Helia **** (62-64. Kárpát utca, 1133 Budapest, Hungary), which is located on the bank of the Danube, only 15 minutes from the city centre of Budapest. The hotel serves as a particularly suitable venue for holding an international conference since the biggest conference room is capable of accommodating a total of 400 guests at a time. In addition, the hotel ensure sufficient rooms to display all of the posters of Participants throughout the entire Conference and to organize side events such as refreshment courses. All meeting rooms situated on the same floor, have natural lighting and equipped with advanced conference technology.
The hotel is equipped with air conditioned rooms with excellent view to the Danube river and the Margaret Island, and with high-speed, wireless internet access.
The hotel offers several wellness, spa and fitness services, providing wide range of relaxation and exercise options for the Conference Participants who stay at the hotel. Margaret Island, which is in the close vicinity of the hotel, also offers a great opportunity for recreational activities, like jogging, cycling, tennis, rowing and swimming.

By Airplane

Ferenc Liszt International Airport is the main international airport of Hungary, it is directly reachable from all European capitals and big cities with short travel time (flight time is usually less than 2 hours) and affordable prices. The airport is located 16 km South-East of Budapest’s city centre, which can be easily reached by taxi, public transportation, minibus and by car.

There are several taxi companies available at a fixed tariff for the transportation between the airport and Budapest. At the booths of Főtaxi taxi company located at the exits at the airport terminals reservations can be even made in person. In addition, at the taxi rank in front of the stands, taxis are parking continuously waiting for passengers. 

A direct bus line (bus number 100 E) connects the airport with the city center. From bus stops as Deák Ferenc tér and Kálvin tér, Dózsa György út - the closest metro station to the hotel - is directly reachable with metro line M3. Passengers can be transported from the airport by bus 200E to the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal. From the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal, passengers can take metro line M3 towards to Újpest Központ to reach the Dózsa György út metro station. Hungary is a member of the Schengen Area, and applies the Schengen legislation in full. The entry formalities for Hungary vary according to the country of origin. All visitors entering Hungary must possess a valid passport or a valid picture ID in some cases.
Entry visa can be obtained at any Hungarian Embassy, consulate, and in some cases at border crossing points. Please check the current visa requirements on Portal of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Letter of Invitation

IM2020 Organisers will issue a Letter of Invitation only to the following verified Conference Participants:

All Conference Attendees who seek a Letter of Invitation must first register and pay the conference fees before a Letter of Invitation will be issued.
Letters of Invitation will be emailed as a PDF document. Print copies will be mailed upon Conference Attendee's request by regular post only.
It is your responsibility to get the Visa. IM2020 Organisers cannot contact or intervene with any Hungarian Embassy or Consulate office abroad on your behalf, so please begin your visa application process as soon as you determine that you want to attend the Conference.
